Hey Coaches
Here is a typical Q/A call I get...does this sound familiar?

Coach: "what pole should I buy for my school?"
Steve: "how much money do you have to spend on this?"
Coach: "I think we can buy one pole."
Steve: BUY a 13' 200 (or maybe a 12-170)--with this pole everyone in the school is legal (most kids could weigh in with the pole in hand and still be fine. The pole will never bend, so it will probably never break. Or you can rent (3) poles for the price of (1) and what you have rented can change throughout the year as your needs change.

Simply put, any school can meet ALL vaulters' needs with (1) pole and no pit. With that one pole, straight pole technique is the only option (which is fundamentally more simple to coach than bending pole technique)--the take off is nearly the same as hurdling. Nearly all safety and education resources document how vaulting into a long jump sand pit is recommended for beginners. There. No pit. One pole. All kids legal. $300 once. Athletic girls clear 9' or 9'6 without a bend; top boys clear 10'6 or 11' without a bend as well. Those performances score pretty well at true team.

By the way, we typically have a 12-170 in stock.
